One Snarky Post at a Time.

I have never had a “call me the second you get there” mother. She always wanted to know where I was going (or had gone) and who would be there (or was there), but she was never overprotective. I think it was a good balance.

My roommate’s boyfriend’s mother just called him to verify that he had “made it down (here)”. An hour and a half away. He is 23 years old. He had come from work, meaning his mother had already been alerted that he’d be leaving work early today and driving down this way.

My best friend had to call her mother every single time she was leaving one location and each time that she arrived at another, all throughout high school. This included “I’m here!” phone calls from the school parking lot at 7:40 every morning. After leaving her house less than five minutes prior. At 18 years old.
