One Snarky Post at a Time.

I’m sure this is going to sound horrible and stuck-up but sometimes I wonder how people made it this far in life without proper manners and general etiquette.

Myself and another female started at the same Master’s level internship today. It is in the mental health field. I arrived wearing black dress pants, a blouse, and a cardigan. And flats because I just don’t do heels - 5’2” or not. She arrived in baggy jeans, one of those weird puffy vests, a fitted long sleeve shirt, and Sperrys. Her hair was very “just rolled out of bed”.

She was also late. And arrived with only coffee.. no notebook / paper / etc.

A major aspect is working with adolescents. Maybe she’s just trying to be relatable? I don’t know. But if this was a competitive internship, and I found out this girl had beaten me out for a spot, I’d be so pissed.

(She is a nice person. I’ve had a class with her before. She’s also pretty funny and these teenage kids will probably end up loving her. Maybe I’m going about this all wrong!)
