Found out my little crush is on a 30 year old (maybe 31?). I had convinced myself that he was probably only 29.
I’m 23. THIRTY just sounds crazy. Even 29 was seriously stretching it. But 30? Ah. He has lost some of his appeal. Damn.
(It was not a practical crush in the least bit anyway. Just wishful thinking / happy staring.)
The problem with losing weight (not intentionally, so a happy surprise) is that the hell-of-a-deal dress that I bought ~2 months ago for my friend’s wedding suddenly has extra space in the chest area. I decided to give it one last bedroom-fashion-show before the big day (next Saturday) and realized I really need to take it in about an inch.

A teenager at my internship used the term ‘getting white boy wasted’ today when asked about his prior use of alcohol. He is not white. Which was his point, I suppose.

I can’t take normal pictures, let’s just face it. And it’s actually shorter than that since I’m leaning forward and my laptop is laying on my bed.

Today I turned 23.
I went to work. And to intern. And to class. I made myself dinner at 8PM. And then ate a slice of leftover peanut-butter pie that I made for a function last night.
Basically this means that I’m officially old.
(sidenote: the people in my life don’t completely suck or anything.. my family celebrated early and i’m going out with my best friends tomorrow)

I might be a little offended that my roommate and her boyfriend took their Valentine’s day dinner up to her room to eat (I’m doing homework in the living room, which is connected to the kitchen/dining area). But I’m not at all offended that their idea of a romantic dinner is picking up Dominos and a bagged salad.

I have never had a “call me the second you get there” mother. She always wanted to know where I was going (or had gone) and who would be there (or was there), but she was never overprotective. I think it was a good balance.
